It’s that time of the year again. Baptism Sunday.
I love Baptism Sundays.
I think God loves them too.
All over the world, people are going under, under the water of God.
Emerging and bursting forth with courage,
embracing and declaring
that they are
new.
I love Baptism Sundays.
I think God loves them too.
It’s a sign of something alive
the Church,
it’s alive
it’s breathing
it’s growing
it’s loving.
I love Baptism Sundays.
I think God loves them too.
The world, it longs and eagerly awaits,
for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed
but how will it know who’s who?
The sons and daughters are the ones
standing confidently without shame
but kneeling daily to wash the shame off others
they are the ones
feasting daily at the Table of Presence
only to break bread and eat it with the Lonely
they are the ones
dancing to the sound of Heaven
but weeping with those who are suffering on Earth.
I love Baptism Sundays.
I think God loves them too.
I love the folks getting Baptized.
I know God loves them too.
Because He Lives,

Every year we take a moment to thank God by remembering all those who have planted seeds of love and faith in our lives. Every Baptism Candidate has a rich story of God’s provision via His people, His Church. When we celebrate the candidates remember we are also acknowledging and thanking those that faithfully loved us, introduced God to us, and protected the seed of faith in us. On behalf of Ekko, thank you for investing in each candidate. We pray that Ekko will be just as faithful in - planting, watering, and if God willing, harvesting.
Here are a few of the churches and ministries we were able to gather that had a part in the restoration of our Baptism Candidates. God sees, God knows, none of your work is in vain.
- Bethel Korean Church
- Sarang Community Church
- Church Everyday
- Grace Community Chapel (New Jersey)
- Cerritos Presbyterian Church
- God’s Image Ministry
Let’s do this. One Church, One King, One Love. Amen.
Baptism Sunday will be on November 15th.
I encourage you to bring flowers, gifts, cards... hugs and prayers for our beloved baptism candidates.
Join us after service for The Baptism Celebration Party!
We'll eat, play, and celebrate together.
