I wish I could write a story
worth your time and reading
but my life, the glories
often needing a better ending
If I could, I would write you many songs
songs worth singing
I would right, all my wrongs
make it a gospel worth spreading
but what I can do
is give my heart to you
lift up my hands
and worship you
if I could, I would be strong
breaking every chain
I would fit, and I would belong
a life blessed and blessing
but now I see
I am a seed
in the failings
I succeed
becoming the person
you’ve always seen in me

is quiet my heart
