Letter to Sleep 2

Dear Sleep,

It’s me again. I know, I know, it’s only been a week or so. What I don’t understand is how you could leave me so quickly and never even call! I’m not mad, just disappointed is all. Anyways, I just couldn’t help it, I recently discovered that March was National Bed Month! Wow. Really?

Recently, as I thinking about you, I was reminded of that one time during our college years when I got in so much trouble because of you.

Remember when Scott, John and I took an art history course at a nearby community college? How we always sat together and how they would always fall asleep during the lectures! Back then we didn’t know each other too well, you were so close with Scott and John. And remember when the professor finally had enough, walked up to us… and while he was walking towards us Scott and John woke up!!! But when he arrived at our seats, he pointed straight at me with his boney fingers and yelled, “stop sleeping during the lectures!” I got blamed for their time with you! So not fair Sleep, so not fair… but I think that was the beginning of my attraction to you.

You’re such a rebel Sleep, we almost failed because of you. You’re dangerous. But I fell for you anyway didn’t I? We spent so many lectures together. You used to even make me drool! You’re crazy.

Those were the days.

Anyways, Happy National Bed Month.

Missing you,
